The Dollar desktop app runs on your own Windows machine. Its helper service binds only to the loopback address 127.0.0.1, so it is not reachable over the network or the internet. When Dollar creates a local safety snapshot, it is stored on your device and encrypted at rest using Windows DPAPI, with credentials excluded from what is captured. When you use Dollar alongside an AI coding tool, your prompts and code are sent to the AI providers you choose (for example, Anthropic or OpenAI) and are handled under their own privacy policies. They do not pass through us. This website (dollardesktoppet.com) is hosted on Netlify, which may log standard request data such as your IP address for security and operation, under Netlify's own policy. If you contact support, we receive the email address, message content, attachments, and related delivery metadata that you choose to send. Our support mailbox is provided by Google Workspace, so Google processes this information as our email service provider under its applicable terms.
